This is partially true. When the jobs are good paying jobs, yes, the people pay more in taxes and drive economic growth. When the jobs are below poverty level or minimum wage, the jobs often cost the government money in the form of welfare and medical assistance.

What we need is to continue to grow good jobs that people can live off of and be self-supporting.
