Supposedly they were but he never helped support them. He would disappear for long periods of time, didn't work that I knew of, would have to spend time in jail, etc. So, why in the world would you have five babies from the same deadbeat father? She would always take him back because she "loved" him & felt sorry for him because he had no money & no place to go. So, I'm sure all the help she was getting was, also, helping him. Again, she did need the help she got, & I would never have wanted those little ones to suffer, but it was just all hard to digest.

Those kids have been on their own now for some time, & at least three are following in their parent's footsteps. Sad.

Pro-fetus? Is a fetus not a life? I am pro-life, & I have always supported health programs for moms & their babies, before, during, & after. I have pro-choice friends who don't support all the programs in the system. What do you label them?

Pro-choice advocates believe it is a woman's right to choose. Pro-life advocates believe that all babies should be afforded the most basic right of all, the right to life.

There are people on both sides who do not support all the programs because people are looking for some accountability. I have a cousin who had five babies on the system. I would never want the system to turn its back on someone like my cousin, but I, also, don't believe having five babies is right. So, what do you suggest?

All I will say is you are not "pro-life" unless you also support systems to assist pregnant women to get the health care they need to deliver healthy children and systems to keep those children healthy after they are delivered. You are not "pro life" if you do not support those systems, you are "pro fetus".

So apparently there is at least one person that thinks abortion is a good choice. Some real sick and twisted people out there I guess.

I never mentioned parties. It's about an individual's choice and the consequences - good or bad. My point is simple if you look at what I wrote. Fact: Pro-choice has a consequence of allowing unborn children to die if you choose abortion due to the current legislation in place. You can choose for yourself if you think that's right or wrong.

Ok Ok, abortion is a "choice". It just happens to be an extremely poor and horrible choice. Isn't that at least one small piece of common ground both sides can agree on and try to build from ?

Yeah, I didn't think so...

Too many brainwashed partisans out there...

Your right Sven, we Need Michael to fix this for us all.

No, remember they don't call them "children", they call them fetus' to help de-sensitize themselves. And yes, as a pro-choice, then you are ok with the killing of unborn children, because that's the resulting action of the pro-choice legislation.

Back to the original comment, politicians use children (and the poor) as a pawn all the time to push their causes, it's one of the oldest tricks in the book.

Whether someone is a Democrat or Republican or Independant or whatever,if they are pro-choice, then they are pro-killing of children.

Bottom line is both ends of the political spectrum promote violence as a means to solve their percieved problems. War, abortion, capital punishment, etc. Just another case of the pot calling the kettle black.

Pro-choice label is misleading. Should be "pro-choice for those in power"... not for the weak one who is dependant. Kind of like calling those who sent in the sarin gas are pro-choice.
