Stay on it Lori, The vast majority of us are 100% behind you and the trail cam is the way to go. I hope someone catches the gutless SOB and he or she gets significant punishment. At some point a sign saying the area is under camera surveylance would help a lot.

I do have something in the works for a camera from an anonymous donor. Don't want to give out details to the public though. Especially when there has apparently already been an ignorant person on here disliking the comments. I just don't get some people. But thank you to the ones who agree & support the cause. I will continue on my mission to keep the river & creek clean & hopefully catch these people trying to destroy it & the wildlife : )

Lori, have you tried to get a trail camera or something down there? Perhaps the NUPD, DNR or Sheriff could help you out with that.

Four years ago I was on the Poor farm bridge and spotted about 20 geese carcasses lying on a sandbar in the river. Looks like someone threw them off the bridge. Reported it to the DNR. Just this weekend I found allot of Grain Belt bottles on a sandbar upstream of Schells probably from tubers as the river was too low this year to canoe.

Good work Lori. This certainly is not simple littering. Disposing of hazardous waste in this manner is a very serious crime as is wanton waste of game animals. If caught this offender(s) will most certainly be fined several thousands of dollars and hopefully do jail time. Maybe the DNR would spring for a game cam for surveillance.
