Yes, Curt's dad was Blackie of the famed Blackie and the Blue Boys. And let me tell you, Curt belongs on one of these talent shows on TV. This guy can really sing! Glad to see he got the van! Couldn't go to a better guy!!

I mean no disrespect, but certainly his wheelchair wouldn't have went all the way to LeSueur before the batteries died. I'm guessing Mr. Schultz knew that, so is there more to the story?

I to wish I would have known of this sooner,Curt is a great man and should be an inspiration to all of us,Maybe instead of non stop drunk fest in town maybe a day long fundraiser in German park or something could be setup for him and his family.

Sorry.

Sorry... part of my sentence disappeared. It should read "More so than purchasing cookie dough and fudge from students to be used for God knows what. I would much rather have the opportunity to help a "deserving" vet in need. Mr Peterson the next time you hear of a deserving vet who needs help please let the public have a chance to step up and try to help out too!

I am so happy Curt got a van. If I recall Curt's dad was Blackie of the famed Blackie and the Blue Boys? I am testing my memory as a Sleepy Eye resident. I wish the public had been made aware of Curt's plight. I would definitely have donated to that cause. More so than purchasing cookie dough and fudge from students to be used for "deserving" vet in need please let the public have a chance to step up and try to help out too! Thank you Curt for your service.

I am so very happy for this man getting this transportation he so very much needed. Now does someone want to tell me why Brown County Veterans Hospital shuttle van does not have a way to accommodate wheel chairs???? This city uses money and gets grants for some of the most stupidest things I have ever heard of what did New Ulm pay for the welcome signs coming into and leaving new Ulm? Why was the putting green given a grant which is the biggest joke of New Ulm. Ok one of the biggest. And this Grand Hotel downtown..... need I go on why is no one looking after our veterans in New Ulm for shame. You should bow your head when you see a man in uniform.Cause how could you look him in the eye.
