I would be curious as to what kind of rates could be obtained from such a program. We pay a LOT of money to Comcast or NUTelcom for an internet connection. It is ridiculous what they charge simply to connect to the World Wide Web. It's not like they have to pay for content, as they do for Cable TV Services.

Well said Mark, I know this will not be your last article on this as you were limited with what you could have said. I would like to let people know that I live in sibley county and I use a small company out of Granite falls, MN. for our Internet called mvtvwireless****. It is without a doubt the best service we could ask for. Gaming, Utube video's, Netflix. We live 4 miles from town in the middle of nowhere and our service works just fine. They are a Coop also. Also we have the 2 Million speed for $52.95 and no taxes as it is a coop. there are 2 faster levels but it is all we need. I agree Mark that this is no role for government. and the existing Cooperative services work wonderful!
