ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) — Police say an armed suspect was shot by an officer and critically wounded in St. Paul and a man in a nearby house was grazed by a stray bullet.
Authorities responded to a burglary call about early Sunday and heard shots nearby. An officer tried to stop a suspicious vehicle, but the driver took off and the sergeant pursued it. Police say when the vehicle slowed down, an armed suspect bailed out and fled.
KSTP-TV (http://bit.ly/1fOBg4N ) reports the officer followed and fired multiple times, hitting the suspect. At least one bullet hit a home and slightly injured man inside. Police say it's not known whether the bullet that hit the house came from the officer or the suspect. A handgun that did not belong to the officer was recovered from the scene.
