SPRINGFIELD - Steve and Deanne Bryce closed the Solar Drive-In located at West Highway 14 on Aug. 19, but said they plan to stay in Springfield.
They will continue to use their kitchen to research and develop healthy foods and offer cooking classes, which emphasize healthy eating.
The couple opened the drive-in in May 2008 after thoroughly renovating the business.
The Bryces said the first step in their new venture will focus on gluten-free food that will solve its cooking, baking and eating challenges. Steve Bryce said he wants to create food products without food additives.
