Knights competes at NYA meet

NORWOOD-YOUNG AMERICA - Sleepy Eye St. Mary's/Sleepy Eye/New Ulm Cathedral competed in a meet at Norwood-Young America on Tuesday.

Kari Schumacher placed 17th out of 112 runners with a time of 17:15.7. Schumacher earned a medal with her top 20 finish.

Stephen Joyce led the Knights' boys by placing 93rd out of 140 runners with a time of 20:29. Following Joyce was Nick DeMaris (113th, 21:19), Brandon Roiger (121st, 21:35), and Zach Long (136th, 24:24).

There were no team points available from the meet.

The Knights' next meet is Monday at Windom.
