Marshall 4, New Ulm 0
MARSHALL - It was just one of those days for the New Ulm boys' soccer team.
After earning a penalty kick near the end of the first half of Monday's game against Marshall, the Eagles seemed in great position to erase an early 1-0 deficit. However, the penalty was saved and the Tigers countered with a goal 30 seconds later, setting the tone for Marshall's eventual four-goal victory.
New Ulm had more bad luck later in the game, with an own goal by the Eagles accounting for the Tigers' fourth goal.
Ethan Hart scored the Tigers' opening goal and Trevor Johnson scored the next two.
New Ulm will host Fairmont at 5 p.m. on Thursday.
