ST. JAMES - Isaac Kirschstein finished sixth for the Springfield/Cedar Mountain boys cross country team at the St. James Invitational Tuesday.
Kirschstein finished with a time of 17:55. Collin Daub finished 18th with a time of 18:49, while Dylan Nachreiner ran 19:00 for 23rd place. Gerritt Meidl finished in 19:09 for 28th place. The Tigers finished fifth out of eight teams at the meet.
The Springfield/Cedar Mountain girls team finished seventh at the invitational. Elizabeth Groebner led the way by running a 19:04 for 33rd place.
Anna Lang finished 45th in 20:32, while Morgan Trebesch and Steele Meraz both ran 22:24 and finished 54th and 55th, respectively.
Knights compete at St. James
ST. JAMES - Kari Schumacher finished sixth with a time of 16:16 to lead the way for the Sleepy Eye St. Mary's/Sleepy Eye/New Ulm Cathedral girls cross country team.
Mary Joyce finished 33rd with a time of 19:11, Jenny Lax finished 34th with a time of 19:27, Megan DeMaris finished 35th with a time of 19:30 and Angie Kiecker finished 37th in 19:40. The team finished sixth in the meet.
Brandon Roiger led the way for the boys team by finishing 22nd with a time of 19:03. Stephen Joyce finished 28th in 19:14, Nick DeMaris ran 19:30 for 35th place, and Zach Long finished 68th in 21:48.
