To the editor:
I am writing today to correct a mistake I made in my response to the "Red Flags" MTA letter to the editor that ran earlier this week.
In my letter I wrote that 4,300 home/businesses sent in RS Fiber pledge cards. That is accurate. The grand total is actually 4,335.
But then I suggested all 4,300 homes/businesses supported the project. That is not accurate.
Of the 4,335 pledge cards sent in, 4,109 pledge cards supported the project.
So not 100 percent of the pledge cards returned supported the project. Only 94.78 percent did.
It may be a small distinction but it's an important one because it's accurate.
