SLEEPY EYE - Cedar Mountain/Comfrey defeated Sleepy Eye Friday in a Southern Minnesota Conference football game.
CMC's Zach Kerkhoff had 18 carries for 66 yards with two touchdowns.
Sleepy Eye's Matt Schroepfer had seven catches for 149 yards and three touchdowns. Sleepy Eye had 100 yards rushing and 214 yards passing.
Sleepy Eye (1-6 overall, 0-6 in conference) will host Wabasso Wednesday.
CMC (2-5 overall, 2-5 in conference) will travel to Buffalo Lake-Hector-Stewart Wednesday.
Wabasso 28, BLHS 12
WABASSO - Wabasso defeated Buffalo Lake-Hector-Stewart in Southern Minnesota Conference football action Friday.
The Rabbits were led by Blake Altermatt's 184 yards rushing and two touchdowns. T.J. Fulton also rushed for a touchdown and Neil Eichten passed for 161 yards and a touchdown for the Rabbits.
For BLHS, Tate Lange rushed for 187 yards and two touchdowns and Jake Pettit had two touchdowns.
Wabasso is at Sleepy Eye on Wednesday and BLHS hosts Cedar Mountain/Comfrey Wednesday.
GFW 24, LCWM 19
WINTHROP - The Gibbon-Fairfax-Winthrop Thunderbirds defeated Lake Crystal/Welcome Memorial Friday night in Gopher Valley Conference prep football action.
Tony Weber led the Thunderbirds with 64 yards rushing on 16 carries and two touchdowns. Lake Caldwell rushed for 54 yards on 14 carries and one touchdown.
Thunderbirds quarterback Frank Fairchild rushed for 109 yards on 15 carries and he passed for 64 yards.
GFW (2-5) travels to Springfield to play the Tigers Wednesday night.
TRUMAN - Nicollet defeated Granada-Huntley East Chain/Truman in Southern Confederacy football Friday.
The Raiders got a late touchdown on a pass from Dalton Elliott to Matt Christenson for a two-yard score. Matt Fischer kicked the game-winning PAT.
Elliott passed for 155 yards and Evan Guffey had 123 yards receiving. Tanner Elliott rushed for 85 yards. Christenson had 16 tackles and Lucas Gens had nine tackles and a sack. Tanner Elliott had 14 tackles.
Nicollet (7-0) is at Alden-Conger on Wednesday.
Madelia 52, Fulda 8
MADELIA - Quarterback Adam Cooling led the Madelia Blackhawks to a win over Fulda in Southern Confederacy Conference prep football action Friday night.
Cooling rushed for four touchdowns, passed for three touchdowns, was 14-for-29 passing for 306 yards and he rushed 17 times for 109 yards.
Devin Ulmen led Madelia defensively with one interception and he knocked down four passes.
Madelia (5-2) travels to Randolph to play the Rockets Wednesday night.
