NEW ULM - Margaret "Peggy" Schreyer, 88, formerly of New Ulm died Monday, October 15, 2012 at the Luther Memorial Home in Madelia.
A private family service will be held. Public visitation will be from 9-10 a.m., Saturday, October 20 at the Minnesota Valley Funeral Home NORTH CHAPEL in New Ulm.

Peggy is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Cal and Bev Schreyer of New Ulm; grandchildren, Stephanie (Schreyer) Meyer and husband, Ryan, of New Ulm, Jennifer (Schreyer) Johnson and husband, Charles, of Brooklyn Park; stepgrandchildren, Brad Wiltscheck and wife, Pam of New Ulm, and Russ Wiltscheck and wife, Barbie of New Ulm; and twelve great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Gib Schreyer; parents, Martin and Betsy Agre; daughter, Becky (Lapine) Schreyer and her husband, Dan; brother, Jay and his wife, Anne; sister, Lyla Boyd; five brothers-in-law; and four sisters-in-law.
Margaret Ann Schreyer was born October 24, 1923 to Martin and Betsy (Moe) Agre at Boyd. She graduated from Montevideo Public High School and from Nurses Training at the Union Hospital in New Ulm. On January 6, 1946, Peggy was united in marriage with Gilbert "Gib" Schreyer at St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church in New Ulm. She worked at the Union Hospital Geriatric Department as the head nurse for many years and then helped with sales at Schreyer's Used Cars. She was a member of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church in New Ulm. Peggy enjoyed fishing and visiting the family's lake home in Sauk Center and loved spending time with her friends and family.
