Invest in education

October 28, 2012
The Journal

To the editor:

Enough already!

We need to stop circling the wagons for the disaster and move forward. Education is vital for a viable, stable community. District 88 has been squeezed to the breaking point, they must have more resources or provide less service. Less educational service is a slippery slope to a second class community that will ultimately affect our economy as well as our quality of life. More resources (higher taxes) are rarely a popular solution, but we need to weigh the gain versus the pain. A responsible educational system in New Ulm is worth the investment

I am voting "Yes" on Nov. 6 and hope you will do the same
