Think and vote

November 3, 2012
The Journal

To the editor:

By now people are pretty sick of hearings other opinions. Especially the repeats - settle down, you can't "insist" your opinion on anyone.

Because we (meaning locally and nationally) are quite evenly divided, I suggest looking at how we got here. Greed is the first word that comes to mind. Tolerance (or intolerance) is another. We are all in this together. Acceptance of one another seems to be lost. Vote like you want to change that.

Some have been yelling about "smaller government." Do either of these State Constitution changes provide that? It's quite the opposite. The Republican group ALEC sold these ideas to our local incumbents, they approved and are now curiously silent. (What voter fraud?) Which party do you think leans toward more acceptances of one another? The young people - our future leaders - think the proposed marriage ban is disgusting and worry (if it passes) how they will change it back,

All of our taxes will be increasing, who's been honest with you (i.e. homestead credit)? Will personal greed keep you from helping our children? It's ALL about kids, right?
