NEW ULM - Orlin Mack, 92, of New Ulm died Saturday, Nov. 10, 2012 at his home.
Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 13, at the Minnesota Valley Funeral Home, SOUTH CHAPEL, in New Ulm with Pastor Robert Mehltretter officiating. Burial will follow in the St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery in New Ulm.
Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Monday and 7:30-11 a.m. Tuesday at the Minnesota Valley Funeral Home, SOUTH CHAPEL, in New Ulm.

Orlin is survived by his wife, Marjorie Mack of New Ulm; daughters and son-in-law, Karen Ahlbrecht of New Ulm, Marlene and Ron Lewis of Titusville, Fla., Wendy and Harold Parsons of Inver Grove Heights, Sharla Sander of Franklin; son and daughter-in-law, Dale and Ruth Mack of New Ulm; 12 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and by his brother, Vernon Mack of New Ulm.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a son Russell Mack in infancy; son-in-law, Rodney Sander and a sister-in-law, Lucille Mack.
Orlin John Mack was born Aug. 23, 1920 in Milford Township, Brown County to Armin and Adelheid (Wendland) Mack. He was a 1938 graduate of New Ulm High School. Orlin was united in marriage to Marjorie Dale on June 21, 1945 at Fort Ridgley Dale in Fairfax. After marriage they farmed in Milford Township with a purebred Guernsey Herd until retiring in 1982. He was a Brown County Soil Conservation officer for 22 years and with the Minnesota State Water and Conservation Board for 9 years. Orlin received the Brown County Soil Conservationist award in 1959 and the Minnesota State Outstanding Conservation list Award in 1983. He enjoyed gardening, hunting, fishing and card games with his friends.
