Nicollet girls roll over Eagles

Maple River 30

NICOLLET - Nicollet's Katelyn Skrien scored 21 points and had six steals as the Raiders won a Valley Conference girls basketball game Friday.

Kayla Giefer pitched in with 14 points and nine rebounds. Nicollet (2-1) is at Martin County West Tuesday.

Windom 56,

Springfield 41

SPRINGFIELD - Windom pulled away late and beat Springfield in girls non-conference basketball action Friday.

Windom (2-0) was led by a balanced scoring attack as three girls scored in double figures, led by Rachel Sorenson's 13 points. Holly Larson chipped in 11 points and Gina Hauge added 10 of her own for Windom.

Springfield was led by Jodi Arnoldi who scored 14 points Friday. Another contributer was Casey Kretsch who dished out seven assists to go along with her seven points.

Springfield (1-0) will travel to Sleepy Eye on Tuesday night.

Wabasso 89, WWG 50

WESTBROOK - Wabasso beat Westbrook-Walnut Grove Friday night in girls basketball action.

The Rabbits were led by Chelsy Guetter's 23 points and by Kimberly Frank, who had 17 points of her own to go along with her nine rebounds and six steals.

Desi Kramer also chipped in 12 points for Wabasso.

Wabasso (1-1) will host New Ulm Cathedral next Friday night at 7:30 p.m.

Lakeview 51, CM/C 44, OT

MORGAN - Lakeview defeated Cedar Mountain/Comfrey in nonconference action Friday.

The Cougars were led by Alli Madsen's 12 points and Andrea Ochs had 12 points. Karli Kelly grabbed 11 rebounds and Haley Wideman pulled down 10 rebounds.

CM/C (1-1) is at New Ulm Cathedral Tuesday.
