Delano runs past New Ulm boys

Delano 85, New Ulm 38

DELANO - Delano's Zach Checkal scored 19 points to lead Delano over New Ulm in boys basketball action Saturday.

New Ulm was led by Tyler Dittrich, who scored 10 points and grabbed eight rebounds.

New Ulm hosts Mankato East on Tuesday.

Truman/Martin Luther 60, Madelia 35

MADELIA - Truman/Martin Luther defeated Madelia in the championship game of the Madelia Invitational Saturday.

Jack Bergemann led the Blackhawks with 12 points and Devin Ulmen scored eight.

Madelia (1-1) is at St. James on Tuesday.

St.?Mary's 64, MCC 52

SLEEPY EYE - Sleepy Eye St. Mary's picked up a win in the Sleepy Eye Invite in the third place game on Saturday over Murray County Central Saturday.

Sean Mathiowetz led the Knights with 23 points and Kansas Adams scored 18 points.

St. Mary's hosts Mankato Loyola on Monday.

LPHT 66, Sleepy Eye 39

SLEEPY EYE - Nick Machemehel scored 22 points to lead Lester Prairie/Holy Trinity over Sleepy Eye in the championship game of the Sleepy Eye Invitational Saturday.

Spencer Radtka scored 13 points for LPHT.

Jake Trebesch scored 13 points and grabbed eight rebounds. Matt Schroepfer scored nine points and grabbed seven rebounds for the Indians.

Sleepy Eye (1-1) hosts Nicollet Friday.

WWG 69, Wabasso 65

WABASSO - Wabasso's Neil Eichten led the Rabbits with 37 points, but it wasn't enough as Westbrook-Walnut Grove won the nonconference boys basketball battle Saturday night.

Scott Jenniges finished with 11 points for the Rabbits.

Wabasso hosts Canby on Monday.

West Lutheran 58,

Illinois Lutheran 43

NEW ULM - Paul Draeger had 18 points for West Lutheran in the championship game of the MLC Tipoff.

Redwood Valley 63,

CM/C 58

MORGAN - Redwood Valley's Alex Koester scored 27 points as the Cardinals won the nonconference boys basketball game over Cedar Mountain/Comfrey.

The Cougars were led by Brady Kerkhoff's 18 points and Ryan Pendleton scored 13 points. Zach Kerkhoff finished with 12 points.

The Cougars (0-1) are at Gibbon-Fairfax-Winthrop on Thursday.
