Santa’s helpers

December 16, 2012
The Journal

The New Ulm Sertoma Club is pretty busy this time of year, helping Santa Claus put a smile on kids' faces with its "Santa's Closet" program.

The program collects money and toys to buy presents for kids who might not otherwise have a very merry Christmas. Families are referred to the program through Brown County Family Services, and parents got to pick out gifts for their children yesterday to put under the tree.

This is a great project, and one that has run into a lot of extra need this year. It is a sign of the times that more families are struggling this year and in need of help. The Sertoma Club needs to raise extra money for the project to cover the cost.

If you want to help the Sertoma Club spread some Christmas cheer this year, donations may be sent to Sertoma Club of New Ulm, PO?Box 692, New Ulm,?MN, 56073.
