Richard Felix Windschitl, age 79, of North Mankato, died on Friday December 14, 2012 in Mankato.
Richard was born on May 11, 1933 in Comfrey, MN to Frederick and Catherine Windschitl. He graduated from Comfrey High School in 1951. He worked for a while in the construction business, then for many years as the bus mechanic for the City of Mankato. He also served in the US Army in Germany.
A memorial mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, December 21, 2012 at 11:00 AM at Holy Rosary Catholic Church with Father Peter Nosbush officiating. Visitation will begin at 9:00 AM at Holy Rosary.
Richard was married to his loving wife, Evelyn on January 28, 1967.
He was preceded in death by his sisters and brothers-in-law Mildred (Edwin) Lang and Eleanor (Sylvester) Sellner, and his brothers Sylvester and Melvin.
He is survived by his wife, Evelyn,; his son Mark (Kristin); his daughter Mona (Mike) Platt; his granddaughters Alyssa and Nikolette; and many other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
