To the editor:
After a week of listening to our president and others on the tragedy at Newtown, Conn., how about this? Start with the home: 1 .Discipline, 2. Love and respect for our fellow man even though he may be different than we are, 3. All people need to learn to be responsible tor their actions early on, 4. Say a prayer and turn them loose on the world, always aware that not all will fit the same mold. And some will require more time, patience and expertise, etc. remaps we neeu to educate, not legislate, and we are starting late. This may sound old and trite but when guns are outlawed, only the outlaws will have guns. Politically correct? Probably not. On the other hand, it is difficult to believe that ordinary citizens need to own assault weapons.
