MADELIA - The Madelia/Truman wrestling team benefitted from a number of forfeits in a dual meet victory against River Valley on Thursday, but the Jayhawks did manage to win four of the six matches that were wrestled.
For M/T, Cole Pietsch earned an 11-2 major decision at 113, Bryon Forstner earned a technical fall at 138, Jake Korteum earned a fall at 170 and Jake Denn won by a 9-7 decision at 182.
Winning for the Wildcats were Devin Johnson via fall at 106 and Sam Baier via fall at 126.
The Jayhawks will compete at an eight-team tournament in Mapleton on Saturday. River Valley will travel to St. James on Tuesday.
