PREP BOYS BASKETBALL: DeCock hits milestone as RRC boys win

Southwest United 62

LAMBERTON - Jeff DeCock scored 24 points to reach his 1,000th career point as Red Rock Central defeated Southwest United in a Red Rock Conference boys basketball game on Tuesday.

Henry Rogotzke had a double-double with 26 points and 10 rebounds for the Falcons, while Mason Miller added 10 points and eight rebounds of his own.

The Falcons (5-5, 3-3) play at Sleepy Eye St. Mary's on Friday.

CMC 83, Wabasso 62

MORGAN - Cedar Mountain/Comfrey cruised to a victory over Wabasso in a Tomahawk Conference boys basketball game Tuesday.

Brady Kerkhoff led the Cougars offense with 21 points, while Sam Pendleton added 19 points. Zach Kerkhoff had 16 points.

Wabasso's Dylan Bock led all scorers for the game with 24 points.

CMC (8-2, 7-0) travels to take on New Ulm Cathedral on Friday, while Wabasso (6-8, 4-3) hosts Cathedral next Monday.

BLHS 60, Sleepy Eye 55

SLEEPY EYE - The Buffalo Lake-Hector-Stewart boys basketball team picked up a big road win, beating Sleepy Eye on Tuesday evening.

Mason Clark led BLHS in scoring with a game-high 25 points. He was joined in double figures by Kyle Kubesh with 10 points.

Brandon Polesky led Sleepy Eye with 13 points. Saul Ibarra chipped in with 12 points and Tyler Netzke added 10 points for Sleepy Eye.

BLHS improves to 5-5 with the win and will travel to play Sleepy Eye St. Mary's on Thursday. Sleepy Eye falls to 4-7 overall and will host Springfield on Friday.

St. Mary's 76, GFW 71

SLEEPY EYE - Sean Mathiowetz recorded a double-double with 25 points and 14 rebounds, while Jordan Anderson added 24 points of his own to power Sleepy Eye St. Mary's past Gibbon-Fairfax-Winthrop in a Tomahawk Conference boys basketball game on Tuesday.

Brett Rickheim had another big scoring night for the Thunderbirds with 30 points.

St. Mary's (8-3, 5-2) plays on Thursday when it hosts Buffalo Lake-Hector-Stewart, while GFW (5-7, 3-4) plays Minnesota Valley Lutheran at home on Friday.
