NEW ULM - Dolores C. Schaefer, 94, of New Ulm, died Tuesday, Jan. 22, 2013, at the Sleepy Eye Care Center in Sleepy Eye.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m., Saturday, Jan. 26 at the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity in New Ulm with Monsignor John A. Richter celebrating the Mass. Burial will follow in the New Ulm City Cemetery.

Dolores is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Lois and Randy Mehlberg of Rosemount; son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Nancy Schaefer of Hutchinson grandchildren, Stephanie (Jason) Kline of Mankato, Krystina Schaefer of Shakopee, Kenton (Mary) Schaefer of Hutchinson, and Ryan and Amanda Mehlberg of Rosemount; four great-grandchildren, Emma, Adrienne, Gabrielle, and Evelyn, and a sister, Lois Lynch of Belle Plaine.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Delbert Shaefer; granddaughter, Tamara Mehlberg; sisters, Evelyn Domeier in infancy and Sylvia Hopkins; and brothers-in-law, Terry Lynch and Gail Hopkins.
Dolores Clara Domeier was born April 12, 1918, to Peter J. and Barbara (Willinger) in New Ulm. On Feb. 18, 1950, she was united in marriage to Delbert Schaefer at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in New Ulm. She was a member of the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity in New Ulm and a past member of the Cathedral choir. She enjoyed polka, dancing, playing cards, singing, and spending time with her grandchildren. She was loving, caring, and always put others first.
