SLEEPY EYE - Sleepy Eye defeated Wabasso Friday night in a Tomahawk Conference boys basketball game.

Tyler Netzke led Sleepy Eye with 15 points and Austin Trebesch scored 12 points.

Neil Eichten scored 28 points for Wabasso.

Sleepy Eye (5-9 overall, 3-5 in conference) will play at Sleepy Eye St. Mary's Tuesday.

Wabasso will play at Renville County West Monday.

Springfield 82, MVL 49

SPRINGFIELD - Springfield had four players in double figures as it defeated Minnesota Valley Lutheran Friday night in a Tomahawk Conference boys basketball game.

Christopher Kretsch scored 27 points, Cole Milbrath scored 20 points, Isaac Kirschstein scored 12 points and Tyler Vogel scored 10 points for the Tigers.

Chad Lease scored 11 points for the Chargers.

MVL (2-14, 2-8) travels to play Martin County West Tuesday night.

Springfield (11-5, 6-3) plays at Cedar Mountain/Comfrey (10-2, 9-0) Tuesday night.

CM/C 75, BLHS 58

HECTOR - Cedar Mountain/Comfrey defeated Buffalo Lake-Hector-Stewart in Tomahawk Conference boys basketball Friday.

Sam Pendleton led the Cougars with 22 points and Brady Kerkhoff and Zach Kerkhoff each scored 20 points. Zach Kerkhoff also had 11 rebounds.

Mason Clark scored 27 points to lead BLHS and Ryan Coulter scored 13 points. Kyle Kubesh had nine points and 20 rebounds.

CM/C (11-2, 10-0) hosts Springfield on Tuesday and BLHS (7-6, 5-5) hosts New Ulm Cathedral on Tuesday.

GFW 61,

New Ulm Cathedral 57

FAIRFAX - Gibbon-Fairfax-Winthrop had four players in double figures as it edged New Ulm Cathedral Friday night in Tomahawk Conference boys basketball action.

Seth Schutte scored 15 points, Brett Rickheim scored 13 points and Shawn Jensen and Cade Leitheiser each scored 10 points for the Thunderbirds.

Jake Stadick scored 15 points and Jacob Gangelhoff scored 13 points for the Greyhounds.

GFW (6-9, 4-5) plays at Mayer Lutheran Monday night. New Ulm Cathedral (1-12, 1-9) travels to BLHS Tuesday night.
