NEW ULM - The New Ulm girls hockey team received the No. 1 seed in the Section 3A tournament and will have a first-round bye in Section 3A play.
The Eagles will host the winner of No. 5 seed Windom and No. 4 seed Marshall at 7 p.m. Feb. 12 at the New Ulm Civic Center. If New Ulm wins that game, the Eagles move to the Section 3A championship game. The championship game will be played at 7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 14 in Redwood Falls.
Luverne was seeded No. 2, followed by Fairmont, Marshall, Windom and Worthington was seeded sixth.
