Congress has enough to do

February 16, 2013
The Journal

To the editor:

About your post, "Drone policy needs some scrutiny." First off, I don't think this Congress should be asked to do any more work than they already do. I can just imagine al-Qaeda staying put while Congress makes a decision. The president has a daily meeting with his Security Council, which includes the Pentagon. I feel much safer when the terrorists are ducking for cover. This war against terror will likely drag on for some time. Attacking their leaders is good policy, war is not just for fun or a feather in one's cap.

The policy should not water down the drone program to make it useless. I hope Congress doesn't make it political. Just like the Maine, remember Pearl Harbor. Let's not forget the Twin Towers. Remember, war is hell!
