BROWN COUNTY - On Monday evening, New Ulm and Sleepy Eye Schools announced they were starting two hours late Tuesday.
The Minnesota Highway Department (MnDOT) reported a stalled vehicle, blocking U.S. Highway 14 between Sleepy Eye and Brown County Road 10 at 9:31 p.m. Monday. A vehicle was reported spun out on Highway 14 between CR 11 and 29 at 8:46 p.m. Monday.
A vehicle was reported spun out on State Highway 15 between Nicollet CR 5 and 15 at 9:31 p.m. Monday. Another vehicle was reported spun out on State Highway 19, west of Fairfax, between Renville CR 3 and 29 at 7:46 p.m. Monday.
U.S. Highway 14 and 71 and State Highways 15 and 19 were reported closed in southern Minnesota Monday night due to blowing snow causing whiteouts.
