Vehicles in the ditch were a common sight Tuesday morning like these two cars just outside of New Ulm on Highway 14 near Menards. Reports indicated approximately a dozen vehicles became stranded in blizzard conditions Monday night between New Ulm and Sleepy Eye. Blustery winds created whiteouts and dangerous windchills and prompted school closings and delays on Tuesday. Winter continues. As much as 6 inches of snow is predicted for Thursday night.
