Dressed in a turkey costume Pat Hartman, Registered Nurse and Oncology Events Coordinator, is served a turkey dinner during the New Ulm Medical Center's sixth-annual Thanksgiving Dinner Friday in the NUMC auditorium. The event, which serves about 300 people including cancer patients, their friends and family and staff and volunteers is usually held in January but was postponed this year because of flu restrictions. The dietary staff does a lot of the food preparation, with other staff making pies and other desserts. Local businesses donated many of the items for the event. The event also included musical entertainment by George Maha, and Rick Apitz giving free portraits to patients.
