Food shelf pickup set Saturday

March 22, 2013
The Journal

NEW?ULM - Boy Scouts in New Ulm will go house to house Saturday for the annual Scouting for Food drive. Pickup will start at 8:30 a.m.

Last weekend, the Girl Scouts and Cub Scouts placed plastic Scouting for Food bags on door knobs as a reminder for residents to donate to the food shelf.

All donations of food and money received during March qualify for a partial matching grant from Minnesota Food Share and from the Fallenstein Foundation.

Needed items include peas, carrots, mixed vegetables, pudding, Jello, Chicken Helper, tuna, taco and chili mixes, macaroni and cheese and diapers (sizes 2 and 3). No glass containers, please.

If your food donation is not picked up by 11 a.m., call the food shelf office at 354-7668.
