NEW ULM - The New Ulm Public Utilities Commission will meet today at 5 p.m. at City Hall.

The PUC will consider authorizing staff for the Public Utilities Administration and Power Plant Building masonry maintenance and repairs project.

The New Ulm Power Plant, which was built in the 1920s with additions in the 1940s and 1964, needs of re-pointing and some spot brick replacement on the exterior walls. The project will be done in four phases. Estimates for the first phase will seek $120,000 from the Electric Production Division and $55,000 from the Administration Division, both from 2013 budgets.
