Cathedral girls, Wabasso boys win golf meet

NEW ULM - Kyle Campbell was the boys' co-medalist on the day and led Wabasso to a victory over Gibbon-Fairfax-Winthrop and New Ulm Cathedral.

Cory Kruggel, from GFW, also shot a 50 to co-medal with Campbell, while Jack Wenner shot a 55 to lead the golfers from Cathedral.

Brooke Dummer led the Cathedral girls' squad to a victory with a 49. Briana Jenniges was the girls' medalist with a 48 to give Wabasso the boys and girls medalist on the day. Katelyn Seehafer led GFW with a 52.

MVL girls 211, CM Inc.

FAIRFAX - The Cedar Mountain boys defeated Minnesota Valley Lutheran Monday in Tomahawk action.

Cedar Mountain's Zac Kerkhoff was the medalist with a 45 and Corey Hoffmann led the MVL boys with a 51.

Courtney Nelson led the Cougars with a 49 and Mariah Schoof was the medalist, leading MVL with a 47.

Springfield boys 182, St. Mary's 188, CM 190

Springfield girls 202, St. Mary's 231

SLEEPY EYE - The Springfield boys won a Tomahawk Conference meet Tuesday over Sleepy Eye St.?Mary's and Cedar Mountain.

Christopher Kretsch of Springfield was the medalist with a 40 and Kansas Adams led St. Mary's with a 41. Tristan Pietig led Cedar Mountain with a 44.

On the girl's side, Alex Cheney of Springfield and McKenzie Schutz of St. Mary's led the way with a 47.

Madelia 171, GHEC 203, Mountain Lake Area 206

MADELIA - Madelia's boys golf team dominated Granada-Huntley-East Chain and Mountain Lake Area Tuesday in nonconference action.

Aaron Walzak was the medalist from Mountain Lake Area with a 37.

Mike Sorenson and Jordan Henry from Madelia were right behind Walzak shooting a 38 and 39, respectively.

Madelia (5-1) hosts Sleepy Eye St. Mary's, St. Clair, and LCWM-Nicollet for a match on Thursday.

Marshall boys 305, New Ulm 317, MCC 354

MARSHALL - The New Ulm boys golf team finished second in Marshall on Tuesday.

Kelton Schmitz and Ethan Krause led New Ulm with a 78.

Marshall girls 358, New Ulm 427, MCC 430

MARSHALL - Marshall won the nonconference girl's golf meet on Tuesday.

New Ulm's Corinne McKeeth shot a 94 on the day and Miriam Jakel shot a 110 to lead the Eagles. Marshall's Jessica Blanchard medaled with a score of 84 on the day.

New Ulm will next be in action at the Fairmont Invite on Saturday.
