New Ulm boys golf team defeats Waseca

New Ulm Boys 156, Waseca 200

NEW ULM - Jonah Cooper medaled for New Ulm, shooting a 36 on the day, as the New Ulm boys golf team won a South Central conferenc meet on Monday.

The Eagles' Kelton Schmitz and Josh Cooper both shot a 39 on the day while Tanner Zupfer and Matt Saffert both shot a 42 to lead the Eagles in the conference matchup.

New Ulm will next be in action today at St. Peter in another South Central conference meet.

NEW ULM - Waseca defeated New Ulm in a South Central Conference golf meet Monday.

Waseca's Melissa Bartz had medalist honors with a score of 45. New Ulm's Corinne McKeeth and Julia Schaefer both shot a 54.

New Ulm will travel to St. peter today.

New Ulm: Corinne McKeeth 54, Julia Schaefer 54, Tasha Holm 55, Emily Hartmann 60. Waseca: Melissa Bartz 45, Kenzie Filzen 49, Sydney O'Brien 49, Corinne Dennis 51.

BOLD Girls 198, GFW 232, CM Inc.

WINTHROP - Tristan Pietig took medalist honors when he shot a 45 on the day for Cedar Mountain in a prep golf match on Monday.

GFW was led by Andy Hood and Jacob Woods, who both shot a 52 on the day.

BOLD's Lanie Altmann took medalist honors for the girls with a score of 44 on the day. Courtney Nelson led CMC with a score of 49. Katelyn Seehafer led GFW shooting a 56 on the day.

Cathedral Girls 207, Springfield 211, MVL 234

SPRINGFIELD - Springfield's Christopher Kretsch shot a 41 and took medalist honors as Springfield took the triangular Tomahawk Conference meet on Monday.

Cory Hoffman and Jacob Struck both shot a 53 to lead MVL on the day. Hunter Bode was the leading scorer for Cathedral with a score of 57.

Cathedral's Courtney Berg took medalist honors shooting a 47 on the day as Cathedral took the meet on the girls side. Callie Wersel shot a 49 to lead Springfield while Laura Albrecht shot a 55 to lead MVL.

All three teams will be playing at the New Ulm Country Club today for the Tomahawk Conference golf meet.

SLEEPY EYE - Buffalo Lake-Hector-Stewart's Jack Broderius took medalist honors with a score of 40 in a win against Sleepy Eye St. Mary's and St. James Monday in a boys golf meet Monday.

St. Mary's John Brandl shot a 43.

On the girls side, BLHS's Carly Schmalz took medalist honors with a score of 43.

St. Mary's Mackenzie Schutz shot a 50.

St. Mary's and BLHS will travel to New Ulm today for the Tomahawk Conference golf meet.

SANBORN - Westbrook-Walnut Grove defeated Red Rock Central and South West United in a boys Red Rock Central Conference boys golf meet.

WWG's Dana Madson was medalist with a score of 38.

RRC's Brandon Sohre shot a 44.

On the girls side, WWG's Abby Herding was madalist with a 50 to lead WWG to a victory. RRC's Makayla Meier shot a 56.

RRC will host Springfield Thursday.
