The Associated General Contractors (AGC) of Minnesota announced recently that The Mathiowetz Construction Company has met the criteria required to be a CHASE Level 1 contractor. The Construction Health and Safety Excellence (CHASE) program, is a partnership between AGC of Minnesota and MnOSHA to recognize contractors that emphasize safety on the work site through written safety and health programs, weekly employee safety meetings, employee and supervisor safety training, self audits, and other proactive measures while maintaining injury and illness rates lower than the industry average.
"CHASE provides a strong tool for contractors in all construction markets who wish to differentiate themselves from their competition," said AGC of MN CEO Dave Semerad of the 24 current participants in the program. "But most importantly, it represents a commitment to the safety and health of the working women and men who build Minnesota."
