Ciriaco "Yaco" Garcia, 27, of New Ulm, formerly of Oaxaca, Mexico, died Thursday, June 7, 2013 in an unfortunate drowning accident.
Yaco was a former employee of Plaza Garibaldi in New Ulm.
He really enjoyed his time spent working and visiting with customers. One of the most important days in his life was the day his daughter Isabella was born. She quickly stole his heart and became the light of his life and the apple of his eye. On March 21, 2010 Yaco declared his eternal love for the love of his wife Dulce. Together they lived in New Ulm and raised their daughter Bella (4). Yaco loved to spend his time teaching his daughter the importance of a good education.
Yaco was an extremely friendly person with a huge and loving heart. His humbleness was limitless. Yaco was always more than willing to help those in need. He was always there for friends and family in times of need. Yaco loved to be outdoors and enjoy nature. Yaco also enjoyed spending time with friends and family and just having fun.
Yaco was determined to provide a good education for his daughter. For this reason instead of floral arrangements, the family would prefer cash memorials to provide an education fund for Isabella.
Yaco's body will be laid to rest in his hometown in Oaxaca, Mexico.
A local memorial service will be held at 6 p.m., Thursday, June 13, 2013 at New Hope Community Church in Sleepy Eye.
Yaco is preceded in death by his brother Gilberto Garcia.
Yaco is survived by his wife Dulce and daughter Isabella; parents, Maria Zurita and Gonzalo Garcia of Oaxaca, Mexico; and many brothers and sisters and nieces and nephews.
