Dove pitched the final three innings and allowed no runs on three hits while striking out three.
Zach Fraasch led Prior Lake with two hits.
Judd Davis paced Gold with three hits with Grant Kannegiesser adding two hits.
Tanner Kluis had two RBI for Gold.
"We need to play games like this," said Gold coach Bob Weier. "This crew is a little bit young as far as Legion baseball experience goes. These are good games to play -we are exposed to a lot of different situations and today we did alright."
New Ulm took a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the third when Davis and Kannegiesser stroked two out singles. They both advanced a base on a double steal before Chase Meyer singled in Davis.
But Prior Lake took advantage of a Gold error to start the inning and three walks by Meyer.
Eric Tusa reached first on an error by New Ulm first baseman Nick Dewanz. Meyer then issued free passes to Kyle Schmidt and Tommy Keating to load the bases.
Nick Vaage's hit plated Tusa before Meyer allowed his third walk of the inning, this to Corey Goodwin that forced in Schmidt for a 2-1 Prior Lake lead. Andy Gabbard's two run single and a double steal saw Prior Lake holding a 5-1 lead.
However, in the bottom of the fifth, Gold put together a big inning of their own to tie the game.
Tim Kehren led off with a triple and scored when Davis' groundball was played into an error by Prior Lake second baseman Corey Goodwin. Kannegiesser followed with a single and Meyer was safe on an error by shortstop Johnny Houston that loaded the bases.
Kluis' base hit off starting pitcher Tony Loeher's glove scored two runs to cut lhe lead to 5-4.
Jacob Gieseke's hit to center field knotted the game at 5-5.
Gold, who had stranded nine runners in the first six innings with six of them in scoring position, then won the game without the aid of a hit in the bottom of the seventh.
Gieseke and Brach Kraus both received one out walks from Broderick who entered the game in the seventh for Prior Lake.
A Dove sacrifice bunt moved both runners into scoring position.
From there, Kehren worked Broderick to a 3-1 count before uncorking a wild pitch to walk Kehren bur more importantly, score Guggisberg with the winning run.
"That was a big bunt from Jory (Dove that you do not ask the kids to do often but when they do they are very importan plays," Weier said. "We got the runner to third and anything can happen."
