Planning panel OKs permits for seed research site, lot splits

NEW ULM - The Brown County Planning Commission approved a Conditional Use Permit request for 25334 County Road 29 in Home Township by Travis and Paula Miller for a the construction of a 45x50-foot pole shed to be used as a corn research and seed production facility.

The permit requires that any changes in ownership of the property to the new owner report an update for the permit within 30 days of the changed ownership. The property owners will be required to meet state and local rules and regulations for operating the facility.

In other action, the commission approved:

A single lot split request by Willis and JoAnn Lochner in the W and J Subdivision in the Home Township to separate a home site from tillable land.

A single lot split request by the Eleonora Haber Estate in the Haber Subdivision in the Home Township to split an existing home site from tillable land.

A single lot split request by Larry and Ruth Potter in the Potter First Subdivision in the Burnstown Township to split an existing home site from tillable land.

A single lot split request by Wayne Huiras for the Doris Huiras trust ownership in the TBD Subdivision in the Leavenworth Township to split an existing home site from tillable land.
