Silver lost to Blue Earth 5-0 to end its season.

A crucial moment played out in the second inning, when Jackson Reinhardt hit into a triple play with runners on first and second base. Silver coach Bob Skillings said the team lost its momentum at that point and was unable to pick it up from there on out.

Silver's loss ends its streak of fortune in the Southwest Subdistrict, during which it came back from behind twice to advance in the tournament. The first victory came against Wells on Thursday, while the second came against Lake Crystal in the consolation bracket Friday after suffering a loss to St.?James earlier in the day.

Silver concludes its season with a 5-18 record.
