Mary Beth Larson, age 73, of Hutchinson, Minnesota, formerly of Winthrop and Minneapolis, passed away Saturday, August 10, 2013, at her home in Hutchinson.
Funeral Services will be held Thursday, August 15, at 11 a.m. at Bernadotte Lutheran Church in Bernadotte Township, Nicollet County, Minnesota with interment in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the services at the church.
Mary Beth Larson was born on July 22, 1940, in New Ulm, Brown County, Minnesota. She was the daughter of Clifford and Irene (Larson) Larson. Mary Beth was baptized as an infant on October 20, 1940, and was later confirmed in her faith as a youth in May of 1954, at Bernadotte Lutheran Church in rural Lafayette, Minnesota. She received her education in Winthrop, Minnesota and was a graduate of the Winthrop High School Class of 1958. Mary Beth furthered her education by attending the Minnesota School of Business in Minneapolis, Minnesota, for seven months.
Mary Beth resided in the Minneapolis, Minnesota, area until she moved to Hutchinson, Minnesota in 1995.
She held employment for General Mills for 36 years as a administrative secretary, until she retired in 1995. Mary Beth was a member of Bernadotte Lutheran Church in rural Lafayette.
Mary Beth enjoyed playing card games and working on crossword and word search puzzles. She loved to travel. Her favorite places to visit were England and Hawaii. Mary Beth was an avid fan of the Minnesota Twins. She especially enjoyed the time she spent with her family and friends.
Mary Beth is survived by her cousins, Sheri Martin and her husband, Randy of Winthrop, MN, LeRita Majeski and her husband, John of Winthrop, MN, Sheila Richter and her husband, Joe of Hutchinson, MN, Sandy Pierson and her husband, Kelly of Winthrop, MN, Bruce Larson and his wife, Suzi of Waukesha, WI; other relatives and friends.
Mary Beth is preceded in death by her Parents, Clifford and Irene Larson; aunts, uncles and cousins.
