August 14, 2013
The Journal

NEW ULM - Peter Roufs, Cathedral High School principal, has submitted his resignation effective Friday, Aug. 16.

"I am appreciative of having the opportunity to serve as principal of Cathedral High School the last five years," said Roufs, when asked for comment. "I am grateful for the support I received from administration, faculty, staff, parents and students. I am confident that Cathedral High School will continue its strong tradition in providing a faith-filled and high academic curriculum. My family and I look forward to remaining in the community and being part of all the great things happening at New Ulm Area Catholic Schools and the community at large."

In a letter to parents and staff, the NUACS Board of Directors thanked Roufs for his five years of faith-filled service to New Ulm Area Catholic Schools. They are seeking an individual to fulfill a one-year interim position. An interviewing committee will be formed.
