NEW ULM - The Hardee's Restaurant held its grand opening at its new location in New Ulm on Tuesday. Additionally, the store became an official member of the New Ulm Area Chamber of Commerce.
New Ulm Hardee's General Manager Kevin Siefkes was at the ribbon cutting ceremony led by New Ulm Mayor Bob Beussman. The New Ulm Hardee's owners and partners, Lionel Bolden and Scott Surprenant, were also at the event. Principal owner John Figlewicz was unable to make the event.
The owners of the New Ulm Hardee's are from the same group that owns the Sleepy Eye Hardee's store.

The new restaurant will bring in 60 employee positions to New Ulm with the majority coming from new hirings of area residents. The building itself is 44,000-square feet with seating for up to 66 people and over 40 parking spots.
The New Ulm Hardee's is actually a return for the franchse, which existed in New Ulm from the 1970s to early 2000s.
The new store will feature Hardee's updated menu of larger burgers. There are currently no ongoing deals with the store, but the owners stated they plan phase in daily deals once the crews learn the ropes.
The store's hours are 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Sundays through Thursdays and 6 a.m. to midnight on Fridays and Saturdays.
