Blood Drive continues

Megan Oswald of New Ulm makes a "double red" donation during the American Red Cross Blood Drive Wednesday at the Vogel Fieldhouse in New Ulm. The event continues today from 1-7p.m. and Friday from 8 a.m.-1p.m. On Wednedsay the blood drive collected 157 units of blood, 13 short of its goal. A one-gallon pin was given to Karen Budenski, a three-gallon pin went to Myron Fluegge, an eight-gallon pin was earned by Lowell Mathiowetz, 11-gallon pins went to Bruce Frederickson and Bryon Hornick, while Ernie Kretsch topped them all with a 14-gallon pin. Each gallon represents eight units of blood donated.
