NEW?ULM - Renee Annexstad, 82, of New Ulm, died Thursday, Sept. 5, 2013, at the Luther Memorial Home in Madelia.
Funeral service will be 11 a.m., Wednesday, Sept. 11, at St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church in New Ulm with Pastor Timothy Smith officiating.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the time of service at church on Wednesday.
The Minnesota Valley Funeral Home NORTH CHAPEL is handling the arrangements.

Renee is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Vicki and Bruce Vorwerk of New Ulm; a son and daughter-in-law, Gregg and Colleen Annexstad of Port Townsend, Washington; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; sisters and brother-in-law, Donna and Charles Hansen of Rochester, Mary and Don Wheeler of Park Rapids; and by a brother and sister-in-law, Julius Jr. and Darlene Haes of Lincoln, Nebraska.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Howard Annexstad; brother, Donald Haes; and by a great-granddaughter, Grace Vorwerk.
Renee Cleveland Haes was born September 25, 1930 in St. Louis, Missouri to Julius and Josephine (Cleveland) Haes. She was a graduate of Mankato High School. Renee was united in marriage to Howard Annexstad on June 18, 1949 in Mankato. They owned and operated Howard's Caf and Bakery in Madelia for many years. Renee lived in Hawaii and North Carolina before returning to New Ulm. She was an avid Twins fan and also loved spending time with family , especially her grandchildren.
Renee was a member of the St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church in New Ulm.
