JoAnn was a devoted mother, and her greatest love was her family. She made sure that there were many occasions for family celebrations. She traveled many miles to spend special time with her family members and many hours on the phone 'just checking in' with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren; who loved her dearly and were very special to her.

JoAnn Louise Hoffman was born in Bernadotte Township, Nicollet County to Charlie and Myrtle (Lindquist) Hoffman. She was a 1945 graduate of New Ulm High School. JoAnn was united in marriage to Donald Hagberg on January 24, 1947 in Lafayette. After marriage Donald and JoAnn farmed in Lafayette and Cornish Townships. JoAnn also worked at Citizen's Bank in Lafayette, Winthrop Savings and Loan and the Lafayette Good Samaritan Center. She married Owen Hubbard on July 15, 2002 in Apache Junction, Arizona. JoAnn volunteered many hours as a 4-H leader and with the American Legion Auxiliary. She was a Sunday School teacher and volunteered with the ladies aid at First Lutheran Church in Lafayette, where she was a former member. She enjoyed dancing, sewing and working with flowers.
