NEW ULM -?It will be a warm winter ahead for Becky Heinrich, at least inside her New Ulm home.
Heinirch, who lives at 9th North and Broadway, was the beneficiary of the Lennox Heat Up Minnesota Program, in its second year.
Lennox International and Lennox dealers in Minnesota are giving away 100 high efficiency furnaces to deserving households in need of better heat this year. Lennox donates the furnaces, and local dealers donate the labor.

Ahren’s heating employees Tom Guggisberg, Zak Friendshuh and Harold Abbas installed the new furnace at Becky Heinrich’s home Saturday, as part of the Lennox Heat Up Minnesota program.
Ahrens Heating in New Ulm installed the Lennox furnace at Heinrich's house, replacing the unreliable older unit she had.
"The furnace was here when I moved in," said Heinrich. "They tell me it's probably 25 years old. It usually breaks down on the coldest day of the year, which is usually on a Sunday, and I call the guys at Ahrens."
With the new furnace, whoever is on call at Ahrens on Sundays will be spared at least one call this winter.
Last year Lennox provided warm and comfortable homes for 42 families in Minnesota.
