NEW ULM - Randy Danielson, owner of one-third of the Marktplatz Mall, made the court appearance he missed last week in Brown County Court on Tuesday. While in court, however, he was arrested again because of an outstanding warrant for a driving offense in Sibley County.

Danielson is facing a misdemeanor theft charge in Brown County as part of his continuing dispute with the owners of the other two-thirds of the mall, New Ulm Retail Development. Ted Jafvert, a business owner in the other end of the mall owned by NURD, complained that Danielson took a ladder and scaffolding that belongs to Jafvert and wouldn't return them.

Last week, Danielson was to appear in court for a hearing on the matter, but he missed the court date. A warrant was issued for his arrest, and he was picked up Friday. Danielson paid $300 bail and was to appear again on Tuesday.

In court Tuesday, Danielson was asked about an outstanding warrant in Sibley County for driving after revocation. When the court discovered the warrant was still outstanding, Danielson was taken to the Brown County Law Enforcement Center for booking. He paid $200 in bail to Sibley County and was released.

Danielson has a pretrial hearing in Brown County set for Nov. 26 at 1:30 p.m., and a court date in Sibley County on Dec. 5.
