To the editor:
I would like to take this opportunity to thank the unknown snowmobiler that helped me when I was stuck in the neighbor's driveway northwest of Courtland on Saturday night (Feb. 15).
As I was going to pick up our babysitter for the evening, I got stuck at the end of their driveway due to the day's snow fall and blowing snow. Even though I approached the situation with caution, I still got my vehicle stuck in the snow. And, before help arrived, you came out of night on your snowmobile and took care of everything.
Once my vehicle was out of the snow, I rolled down my window and looked back to thank you and also ask what I owe you for your efforts. But, by the time I looked back you were on your sled and continued on your way.
I truly appreciate your help. I'm sorry I never caught your name to thank you personally. I am thankful that there are still good Samaritans in our communities willing to help a stranger in need. I firmly believe the old saying "what goes around comes around" and some day you will also receive unexpected help. And, perhaps I might be in the right place at the right time to help you!
Thanks again, Mr. Snowmobiler!
