NEW ULM - Three bowlers with a combined 120 years of experience in the game will be inducted into the New Ulm Bowling Hall of Fame on Friday, March 21 at the New Ulm Country Club.
The 2014 inductees for the Women's Bowling Association are Donna Johnson and Patricia Rolloff. The Men's Bowling Association is bestowing this year's Hall of Fame honor to Mark Roiger.
Donna Johnson has been involved in bowling for 50 years. Throughout her career she has maintained a high average of 161 with high game of 236 and high series of 578. Johnson has served numerous years as an officer and captain of various leagues and has served on the Board of Directors for the New Ulm Bowling Council.
She participates regularly in local, state and national tournaments. She has also been awarded the Joel and Rheeta Albrecht Bowling Enthusiasm Award.
Patricia (Pat) Rolloff has been active in bowling for 40 years. She has a career high game of 237 and a high series of 612.
Her career high average has been 164. Rolloff serves as league captain regularly participates in the local tournament. She has been a big contributor to the New Ulm Youth Bowling Association by helping raise funds. She was awarded the Joel and Rheeta Albrecht Bowling Enthusiasm Award in 2013.
Mark Roiger has bowled for 30 years. He's had a high game of 279, a high series of 715 and held a career high average of 206. Roiger has served as a league officer and captain. He has also served numerous years as a board member of the New Ulm Mens Bowling Association and New Ulm Bowling Council.
Roiger has earned the Holiday Elimination Tournament championship four times and participates in other tournaments including the local, state, Garden Center and Southwest Team tournaments.
