NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARINGS

WHEREAS, the New Ulm City Council has initiated proceedings to consider the amendment of the City of New Ulm's land use regulations regarding noise standards in industrial zoning districts; and

WHEREAS, James Kretsch has filed an application with the City of New Ulm for a Conditional Use Permit to allow an apartment building to be located on property zoned B-3 (General Business District) and legally described as Lots 8 and 9, Block 64 South of Center Street; and

WHEREAS, Josh Luneburg, on behalf of New Ulm Steel and Recycling, Inc., has filed an application with the City of New Ulm requesting a Conditional Use Permit to place a 12 foot high fence on the property legally described as follows:

1)Lots 8-14, Block 44 South of Center Street; Vacated 18th South Street; Lots 8-14, Block 43 South of Center Street (Adjoining South German Street).

2)Vacated 18th South Street; Lots 8-14 and Vacated Alley, Block 22 South of Center Street; Vacated 17th South Street (Adjoining DM&E Railroad Right-of-Way).

WHEREAS, the City Code requires that these matters be considered by the New Ulm Planning Commission.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, pursuant to the City Code, the New Ulm Planning Commission will meet at 4:30 P.M. on Thursday, April 24, 2014 in the City Hall Council Chambers, 100 North Broadway, New Ulm, Minnesota to consider these matters. The public and all interested parties are hereby notified of said hearings.

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

WHEREAS, Edwin Stadick, on behalf of the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity, has filed an application for a variance from the City Code to permit the placement of a structure within 5 feet of the northerly property line on the property legally described as Block 112 North Center Street, the street address is 605 North State Street; and

WHEREAS, the City Code requires that this matter be considered by the New Ulm Board of Zoning Adjustment.

NOW, THEREFORE, pursuant to the City Code, the New Ulm Board of Zoning Adjustment will meet at 4 p.m. Thursday, April 24, 2014, in the City Hall Council Chambers, 100 North Broadway, New Ulm, Minnesota, to consider this matter.
